In 2020, lockdowns turned our Grenoble office into a patchwork of kanban boards, CRMs and—inevitably—Excel trackers.
Marketing lived in one SaaS, Sales in another, HR swore by spreadsheets, and compliance demanded its own audit trail.
Daily "stand-ups" devolved into debugging our tool stack:
"Which board is the real source of truth today?"
We tried gorgeous mobile-only apps, Mac-exclusive wonders, feature jungles that cost a fortune—and none hit the mark for a team split across Mac, Linux and Windows.
So we started prototyping something simple, cross-platform and open. Thirty brave beta-testers later, the concept was proven—then life happened, and the project dozed off… until now.
"Create a simple, enjoyable app that lets anyone manage tasks and processes—without getting in the way."
Zero training required; work is obvious at a glance.

TowDow is currently in open beta. The cloud version is free until September 2025; after that hosting will cost € 2 / user / month—self-hosting will always be free.
September also marks v 1.0, our first stable release. From there, feature priorities will be set by the community through an in-app voting system. Plug-ins, deeper offline support and new integrations are already on the horizon.
